Can I prosecute a bailiff for common assault or ABH?

Yes

Bailiffs may not use force against people.[1][2]

If you have been injured by a bailiff, then you must seek medical attention, then report the offence to the police.[3]

You can also bring a criminal prosecution against a bailiff for assault.[4]
