The judgment debt on the writ arises from a consumer credit agreement.

Bailiffs may not recover judgment debts arising from a consumer credit agreement using a High Court writ.[1]

If you find a bailiff taking enforcement action to recover a consumer credit regulated debt using a High Court writ, then apply to set aside the writ,[2] and you can apply for your costs,[3] or if representing yourself as a litigant in person, you can recover your expenses and £19 an hour.[4][5]

Consumer Credit regulated debts may only be enforced in the county court.[6]
