The first and second stage fees were charged together.

If the amount outstanding[1] is paid on the bailiffs first attendance, the second enforcement stage fee is not recoverable.[2][3]

The debtor may apply for a detailed assessment hearing, ask for the return of the second enforcement stage fee,[4] together with costs.[5][6][7][8]

If the person the bailiff took the money from is not the debtor, they cannot apply for a detailed assessment, instead, they may recover the money taken by making a claim in the small claims track.[9]
