I didn't receive a "notice of enforcement" prior to first visit, the bailiffs say they have, what can i do?

Make them prove it

If bailiffs attend without giving a statutory notice of enforcement, they may not take control of goods.[1]

The bailiff is required to keep a record of the time the notice was given.[2]

You can ask the bailiff to prove that he kept a record of the record of the time the notice was given. If the notice was given by post, then the bailiff must show evidence of the time the notice entered the postal system.[3]

Template Letter, Make the bailiff prove the notice entered the postal system

Send the letter to the bailiff company and get a certificate of posting from the post office.

Give a copy of the letter to the bailiff company by email and make a screenshot of the sent email capturing the time you gave it.

Send a copy of the letter by text message to the bailiff to his mobile and make a screenshot of the sent text message to record the time you gave it.

Keep all screenshots for your file.
