When a creditor instructs a High Court enforcement agency and applies for a writ of control to enforce a judgment, the creditor and the bailiff company makes an agreement that the creditor pays the enforcement fees and charges if the enforcement fails.
If a creditor refuses to accept money from you after applying for a writ of control, he would be liable for the bailiffs fees.
The only way to end the enforcement power and cancel the bailiffs' fees, is to apply to the court for a stay of execution and a variation.[1]
