You can ask the fines officer to withdraw the warrant of control,[1] and apply for an attachment of benefits.[2]
When the warrant of control has been withdrawn, the enforcement power ceases to be exercisable,[3] and the bailiff may not recover any fees and charges.[4]
Download and complete a form MC100 means enquiry form[5] and send it to the fines officer at the sentencing court.
Some types of benefits cannot be attached, such as Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children.
