Provided it is not bolted to a wall, otherwise the bailiff is liable for damage to the wall and fixtures.[1]
Bailiffs cannot take Anything belonging to a person under 16,[2][3][4] rented goods or goods on hire-purchase.[5][6]
If bailiffs disconnect a TV, or wall-mounted display device without removing it for sale, the debtor may recover the cost of hiring a professional to re-install it.[7][8]
Televisions and wall-mounted display devices don't fetch any money at auction and bailiffs have no real interest in them.
Bailiffs are taught to disconnect the living room TV and move it around to annoy the householder, or coerce them to give money, even if the debt is owed by another member of their household.
