The bailiff attended before 6 a.m. or after 9 p.m.

Bailiffs can turn up at any time, but may not take control of goods,[1] or enter or re-enter premises,[2] before 6 a.m. or after 9 p.m.[3]

Where premises are used for a trade or business, a bailiff may enter and remain on the premises during any hours the premises are open for trade or business.[4]

If a bailiff wants to enter premises or take control of goods before 6am or after 9pm, he must apply to the court for that Permission separately.[5][6]

The bailiff must on request, show any person who appears be in charge of the premises, evidence of the bailiff’s authority to enter the premises.[7]

If bailiffs knock up a private home before 6 a.m, capture him on your mobile, then call the police reporting a breach of the peace.[8]
