Issue a Paragraph 59 Notice
If bailiffs pester you after you have paid your debt, then you must give a Paragraph 59 Notice telling them the debt is paid.[1] Otherwise, the bailiff is not liable if he takes an enforcement step.
If the bailiff takes control of your goods after giving him notice, you can apply to the court for the return of your goods,[2] together with your damages[3] and your costs.[4]

Send the letter to the bailiff company and get a certificate of posting from the post office.
Give a copy of the letter to the bailiff company by email and make a screenshot of the sent email capturing the time you gave it.
Send a copy of the letter by text message to the bailiff to his mobile and make a screenshot of the sent text message to record the time you gave it.
Keep all screenshots for your file.
